We have an ever increasing list of courses on offer, If you dont see a date that is good for you call the centre and we will arrange a course to suit you, if we can. Scroll down for courses and events schedule.

This course is proving one of the most popular courses we run at the Centre.
A two day course that will let you take home great pictures from your diving holidays. If you don't have your own camera we will supply one for your course at no extra charge. We can also give you advice on buying your own camera if you want to purchase one.
This picture was taken by Dave on holiday in the Cayman Islands just before Christmas with a Cannon Powershot 40

Learning to find your way around a kelp forrest is only half the fun of this course, finding your way back to the shore is a very important part of the dive. There are so many skills you will learn on this course, using a compass plays an important part as does natural navigation such as usings ripples in the sand. Another skill is taking tide and currents into account when making your way underwater. PADI Instructors and divemasters may make it look easy when they lead you on a dive but skills learnt on this course will enable you to dive safely and find your way home.

The Centre now has an inflatable pool that can be used for training. Lainy Miller of the Centre has just returned from the US where she visited rehabilitation centres.
During the course the Centre had several phone calls reporting dead dolphins and porpoise on Cornish beaches, this was sad but it did give the students first hand experience of recording a dead porpoise.

Whilst we were on the beach several members of the public came up to us to ask what we were doing. The Centre always needs more volunteers to help with this recording work. The picture shows students Imogen and Lauren with Instructor Dave.
The whale and dolphin research diver course takes four days and costs £220. It is suitable for non divers, who can complete the course by snorkeling or taking a Discover Scuba session.
